Probably the biggest problem of the day, CSX Q217 clears East Rocks on two as it pulls into Point of Rocks. Little did the engineer know, in about 3 miles this train would go into emergency in East Brunswick. It would delay the U836, who had to do a roll by inspection. About 20 miles and 2 hours later, it would go into emergency near Shen after stopping on its own because of a car (railfan) stuck on the crossing at Ridge Road and the gate system going haywire. All in all, this train had a rough day. |
